Accessibility audit

Know what blocks people from using your website

Indicative priceFrom €1,200

We combine automated checks with manual keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and interaction testing to produce clear, prioritised findings.

The service

More than an automated scan

Automated tools are useful for repeatable technical checks, but they cannot determine whether every interaction is understandable or usable. W3C explains that human judgement is required (external website).

Our audit examines the agreed sample against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and considers relevant EAA requirements when the service is in scope.

What we test

  • Page structure and reading order
  • Keyboard operation and focus
  • Forms, validation and recovery
  • Images, icons and media
  • Colour and non-text contrast
  • Screen-reader names and states
  • Zoom, reflow and text spacing
  • Complete critical processes

Representative sampling

We select pages that cover shared templates, important components, different content patterns and complete processes. This gives useful coverage without repeatedly reporting the same root cause.

Need us to implement the fixes?

Choose audit and remediation. It includes the evaluation, an agreed work plan, implementation and retesting.

Website types

One audit method, adapted to the website

The technical standard stays the same. The representative sample and critical processes change to match how people use your website.

Ecommerce websites

Test the complete buying journey

A homepage scan cannot show whether a customer can search, filter products, choose a variant, use the cart or complete checkout.

We test representative journeys through product discovery, account access, cart, checkout, payment and confirmation, including relevant third-party components. Where applicable, we also consider EAA readiness.

Business and corporate websites

Make public information and enquiries accessible

We evaluate navigation, content structure, lead and contact forms, downloads, media and interactive components across important templates.

The audit identifies barriers that can prevent visitors from understanding your organisation, finding information or contacting your team.

Ecommerce audit scope

Customer journeys, state by state

Navigation and search

Menus, suggestions, results and keyboard access.

Filters and sorting

Labels, selected values, updates and mobile overlays.

Product pages

Images, variants, price, availability and information.

Cart

Quantity, removal, totals, status messages and recovery.

Checkout

Labels, autocomplete, validation, review and error prevention.

Payment

Third-party fields, timeouts, authentication and alternatives.

Accounts

Sign-in, password managers, history and saved details.

Documents

Product media, size guides, invoices and downloads.

Third parties

Reviews, chat, consent banners and embedded widgets.

European context

The European Accessibility Act includes ecommerce services within a defined range of consumer products and services. We assess technical accessibility and relevant readiness considerations; definitive applicability and liability questions require legal advice.

Audit process

Four clear stages

  1. 1

    Scope

We identify representative templates, components and user processes.

  2. 2

    Evaluate

We combine automated analysis with manual and assistive-technology checks.

  3. 3

    Document

We group repeated defects, record evidence and prioritise findings by impact.

  4. 4

    Review

We explain the results, answer implementation questions and agree useful next steps.

Scope, timing and price

Based on complexity, not a page counter

The timeframe and price depend on templates, component behaviour, third-party integrations and the number of critical processes.

Before work begins, we confirm the representative sample, user journeys, languages, required test access, deliverables, timing and fixed quote.

Experience and client feedback

FAQ

Accessibility audit questions

Need to discuss your website? Request an audit.

Is an automated scan included?

Yes. We use automation for repeatable technical checks, then verify the website manually with keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and interaction testing.

Do you audit every page?

Usually not. We select a representative sample covering important templates, shared components and complete user processes.

Do you need access to our code or CMS?

Not for public pages. We may need test credentials or a safe test environment for account, checkout or other restricted journeys.

Can our developers use the findings?

Yes. Each confirmed issue includes evidence, user impact, a WCAG reference and practical remediation guidance.

How long will the audit take?

We confirm the timing after reviewing the templates, components, languages, integrations and critical processes in scope. It is included in the proposal before work begins.

Does the audit guarantee legal compliance?

No. We provide technical accessibility evaluation, not legal advice or a guarantee against future complaints.
